Opossum vs Durango

Just happened to notice some pine needles under the wheel well on our Durango. Imagine my surprise to find this mess in the engine compartment. I reached in to remove the needles and there was this cute little face looking at me...my husband's text made reference to the fact I was a 'country girl' and could handle it-ha!

According to Wikipedea the word opossum comes from the Algonquian aposoum, meaning "white beast". What followed could verify that statement. A call to the Springfield Missouri Animal Control and the battle was on!

The "white beast" was not going to leave his cozy space without a fight...

Finally...who says they only get as big as a household cat???

A big thanks to the Springfield Missouri Animal Control gentleman, my friends from the Wicker Fixer (they kept the situation light and cleaned up afterwards), and my mom who
closed the garage door and went inside laughing.

  1. I suggest you peruse this book:
    http://www.amazon.com/Possum-Come-Knockin-Dragonfly-Books/dp/0679834680 :)
Then, the next time you have a 'possum encounter, you can sing while waiting for help from the animal control!
