National Pollinator Week Contest

This is a shot I took several years ago…love those pollinators! Hope you will enter—Let me know.

To celebrate National Pollinator Week (June 21-27), the Garden is dedicating the entire month of June to raising public awareness of pollinators and the critical role they play in our world. In addition to fun and inspiring classes, events and experiences at the Garden, Shaw Nature Reserve, Butterfly House, and EarthWays Center throughout June. The Garden is also launching a public engagement campaign – “Picture-Perfect Pollinators”. The goal of this campaign is to encourage people of all ages to get outside to document pollinators in action, and help us amass 1,000 “picture-perfect pollinators” on the Garden’s Flickr site. (Please note: You must have or create a free Yahoo! account to submit photos via Flickr.)

A selection of the submissions will be used to create a “Tribute to Pollinators” video narrated by Dr. Raven and available in July for all to enjoy and share on the Garden’s YouTube channel.
